Pretty Slick Real-time Traffic Monitoring with LiveStats & Trends

GoSquared thinks monitoring your website’s traffic should be simple, fun & enlightening. So they have built LiveStats and Trends, which are beautiful and powerful, yet easy to use web application for monitoring your traffic.

LiveStats shows you what’s happening on your website right now. It shows you your top content based on how many people are currently reading it. LiveStats finds all the stats you could need about your visitors. Find out which browser, and which operating system your visitors are using. Know their location down to city level. You can even find out whether your visitors have Adobe Flash installed, and the resolution of their computer screen. All in real-time – while your visitors are still online.

On the other hand, Trends works great with LiveStats for real-time traffic monitoring backed up by long-term historical data. You can Scan through your traffic data with beautiful, accessible graphs. They offer 3 different Views – List View, Graph View, and Combined. List View gives you the figures, making it easy for the statisticians to analyse the data themselves. Graph View makes it easy for anyone to spot a traffic spike or period of downtime.

I am really impressed with the user interface of LiveStats, which is very intuitive and user-friendly. Everything is very clear and easy to understand, they all get updated smoothly without the need of refreshing the page. It would be even better if they can provide API that I can pull specific data, e.g. monthly pageviews to share with my visitors.

They offer 30 Day Free Trial on All Plans. If you’re not happy you can cancel at any time in those 30 days and won’t be charged anything. And they offer a Free Plan with max 10,000 monthly pageviews too. Signing up takes less than 60 seconds. You’ll be monitoring your traffic in real-time in no time. What are you waiting for?

    Wonderful write-up, thanks!

Just to follow up on the comment about the API; we do actually have an API that allows you to retrieve Trends data for a specified time period.

Full API documentation is available on our Developer Wiki:

Very cool site! Signed up and was monitoring in 60 seconds! Will try the free package for a while until we launch… then it will be well worth the monthly fees to get this kind of information in this format… good job!
