I used PrestaShop before for all my sites and decided to give magento a chance: first of all it was much bulkier than I expected, and my numerous attempts of installing it miserably failed, so I gave up - back to PrestaShop and happy with it. I'll give opencart a try through, there are lots of positives above. Well, good luck with whatever you use - if it takes you more than an hour to figure out and install then it's crap! :) I agree with the general consensus that magento sucks a**.
