This is a great functional calender! the month, week and day management is really handy. Looking around, a lot of calenders seem to be limited. I have found this calender has a update to 1.5 which enables different themes and a few tweaks to the UI which puts it apart from the rest.

Looks good. .but for jquery although not free, try web2cal.

This package is a more complete solution for a ajax events calendar..
