Would you like to know the Search Volume for some keywords before start building your website / web application for a certain market? Google Adwords has released Keyword Tool to public recently, so that you do not need an account to access the tool now. Use the Keyword Tool to get new keyword ideas. Enter a few descriptive words or phrases, or type in your website’s URL. Then, you can get a list of keywords for your market and their estimated search volume. This tool is very useful for keywords research, it will save you a lot of time if you use it wisely.

Hmmm, i find this tool very inaccurate. I know they give approx search volume, but still, i get about 20 hits a day from keywords which was “supposed” to have zero searches daily.
However, it is probably the best keyword tool out there, so props to Google for giving it away for free.
Greg,
This tool may be a little inaccurate but at least the data is coming from Google. I have used wordtracker and keyword discovery and those seem completely inaccurate. Keyword discovery gave me odd results on keywords. At least with the Google keyword tool I know the data is closer to actual results compared to any where else.
Couldn’t agree more with you Shortshire.
However it still makes me scratch my head, if this are results from Google, why it sometimes happens that they are inacurate, that doesn’t make any sense, naybe it is that, number of searches have nothing to do with number of clicks.
