There are two recently-discovered, alternate approaches that developers should try before going the full-blown, Javascript hack route:

I’ve gotten great mileage out of PNG8 images. It works really well for small images such as icons and images that generally have very few colors. The other approach works well for high-color images on solid backgrounds.

I have had tons of issues with IE6 when working on my site http://www.todaysbestmortgagerates.co.uk
We still have some problems left so I’m defintely going to give these scripts a try

One thing I noticed in IE6 it does not fix transparent rollover images if you created them in dreamweaver navigation option

This is the only fix that would properly display my background images. THANKS. Only problem is it doesn’t work with links well, or with hover images… keep up the great work.
