I tend to use FCKEditor for complex needs and TinyMCE for simple ones. But I’ll give SPAW a try.

But I do wish they used BSD(or even LGPL) license instead of GPL.

Every time I try out such a WYSIWYG editor, I end up finding bugs when doing do/undo tests. With this one, Making a paragraph into a title means you can’t change it back to a paragraph. You can change it to a different title (level 1 to 6), but not to a paragraph.

This is the pitfall of every single JavaScript WYSIWYG editor I’ve tested so far. Unless you’re very careful, you end up doing things you won’t be able to undo.

This is why I prefer text-based syntaxes such as Markdown (and HTML, obviously).
