Markup Generator is a simple tool created for xhtml/css coders that are tired of writing boring frame code at the very beginning of slicing work. It’s main purpose is to speed up your work by generating xhtml markup and a css frame out of very intuitive, shortened syntax so you can jump directly to the elements styling.
This tool uses enhanced, line-by-line, css-a-like syntax with space indent to generate xhtml markup. You can add tag, ids, classes, content and an additional code.

Am I missing something or is this a joke? Learn a new syntax to generate one you already know?
Yeah, I’m not sure if this is really saving time… maybe a d&d web app with a nice UI with efficient tools, ok… but not something like that.
I was excited until I realized it would take longer to learn that syntax then to cut some xhtml…
love the site, keep the posts a rollin’
The syntax is much shorter and easier to type. But this idea is not going to make for a faster workflow if it is not integrated into an editor somehow.
Besides, many editors have similar tools already. Consider SuperAbbrevs for jEdit, for example, and that nifty trick in TextMate.
I like the syntax though.
Yeah, I’m with RW…
Thats a good idea but i can’t see how it can “speed up my work” when i have to learn a new syntax…
Seems like a version of “haml”:http://haml.hamptoncatlin.com/ for everyone else?!
This seems to be a complete waste of time… spend about the same amount of time as it would take normally, only to produce a shell of a page? This seems useless.
You don’t get the point. It’s pretty useful actually. You dont’t have to learn anything new. By using syntax almost identical to css you can generate xhtml without writing a single character. Without this tool you must write both. Handy for more complicated structures.
The syntax isn’t off-putting to me, I like it for generating both a quick framework and its’ relative css… works for me.
