If these icons are released under a Creative Commons license, then why doesn’t someone that downloaded them previously exercise their legal rights under that license and redistribute them…without the adware?

ALL Creative Commons licenses allow redistribution.

In fact you can download the iconset, without having to install “Zango”.

STEPS….
Go to the site.

You will see the button to download.
***** BEFORE YOU PRESS THE BUTTON TO DOWNLOAD. *****

Make sure that you have DISABLED JAVASCRIPT!!

Disable Javascript – FIREFOX.
Goto Tools -> Options
Tab: CONTENT
and uncheck the box for javascript.
APPLY:
*********************************************
Disable Javascript – Internet Explorer.
Tools->Internet Options->Security Tab bar->Custom Level->Disable Active scripting (at the end of the list)

ONCE JAVASCRIPT HAS BEEN DISABLED YOU WILL BE TAKEN TO THE PAGE TO DOWNLOAD THE ICONSET.

After investigation, the original has sold the site to someone else recently. People were able to download the icons without installing Zango Adware. However, the new owner has changed the site that people need to install Zango Adware before downloading the icons which I did not know.

I have immediately edited the post and added an IMPORTANT NOTE to readers. I DO NOT recommend readers downloading them.

are you kidding me? everyone was fine with having to install that horrible “zango” in order to get the icons? it’s exactly like smiley centrals cursor mania. it’s BULLSH*T. Not to to mention- does it not say nect to “Requirements”- “NO REQUIREMENTS” ? oh yeah, no requirements…well except for the tiny stipulation that you must install crapware to get the icons.
